KVR Communication

Telegraph cable was strung along the entirety of the Kettle Valley Railway through Myra Canyon so that section masters, railway engineers and maintenance crews could remain in contact during railway operations.
Messages were sent using Morse code as a series of electrical impulses.
Keep a sharp eye out as you explore the Myra Canyon trail. There are still several places along the trail where the remains of these telegraph lines are still visible.
