FOSS has been working closely with BC Parks to address safety concerns along the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail, specifically around the ends of some of the trestles where gaps in the original railings posed fall hazards — and unfortunately, have caused injuries in the past.
We’re happy to report that BC Parks has incorporated our feedback, and contractors recently installed new extensions to the railing at key locations. FOSS volunteers resurfaced the trail, and the trail is in peak condition for this summer.
