If you’ve passed through the Stewart Rd East entrance to Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park recently, you might’ve noticed something shiny and new on the kiosk…
We’ve installed two beautiful Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) signs to help educate and acknowledge the deep cultural significance of this land. Big thanks to Rick and Brad for their stellar work making this happen.
A few fun facts:
These signs are frameless by design — it’s the current BC Parks standard!
The neighbouring sign will be updated soon (also frame-free).
We’re just getting started — eventually the entire kiosk will have a makeover!
An identical pair of ONA signs will be heading up to the Kettle Valley Railway (the trestles) kiosk next!
Stay tuned as the look of our trailhead evolves — and next time you visit, take a moment to stop, read, and reflect.
